The re-opening of the Archaeological Museum of Argos, through the new permanent exhibition of its collections, shapes a new cultural landmark for the area.
The Museum, through a complex project of building expansion and museological upgrade, offering a more than doubled exhibition area of 950 sq.m., presents unique and exceptionally important finds to the visitor, from emblematic monuments of the Mycenaean civilization.
The building project of the Archaeological Museum of Argos was implemented by the Directorate of Studies and Conduction of Technical Works in Museums and Cultural Buildings with funding by ESPA from the Region of Peloponnese, while the equipmnet of the spaces and the installation of the exhibition were implemented by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Argolida with funding from the European Union Recovery Instrument. TETRAGON took over the implementation of the exhibition construction of the upgraded permanent exhibition of the Museum.
