Infrastructure for the environment

TETRAGON designed and implemented a variety of infrastructure in protected areas of Greece and Cyprus, aiming for the information and environmental awareness of their visitors.

At the palm forest of Vai in Crete, TETRAGON designed and constructed a group of light structures, with signage, information kiosks, waiting stops and view points, under the supervision of the Greek Biotope/Wetland Centre (EKBY) – Goulandris Natural History Museum. At the Mount Parnitha National Park, the restoration of an existing building was planned and the surrounding area designed with the aim of creating a modern attraction for visitors that will have an exhibition area and outdoor infrastructure for rest, education and recreation. TETRAGON did the museographic design of the Lake Doirani Museum and constructed the exhibition space, under the supervision of the Greek Biotope/Wetland Centre (EKBY) – Goulandri Natural History Museum. Graphic design by Colibri. (2001-2007)
At Larnaka Salt Lake, a permanent outdoor exhibition was designed and implemented for visitor information, under the supervision of the Cyprus Forest Service. (2009)
At the former royal farm of Tatoi, a walking route was shaped so that the visitor can be informed about the history, operation and the natural environment of the farm. View points and information kiosks, signage for information and orientation, as well as resting and service equipment, were installed under the supervision of the Ephorate of Modern Monuments of Attica.
